How to use your natural soap
Natural soap works best in warm temperatures & in soft water. It also should be kept dry between uses. Fast draining soap dishes that enable air to circulate around your bar of soap will enable it to last longer. For this same reason, it is advised to wet your hands not the bar of soap. Most people find that when used properly, handmade soap out lasts commercial bars. You will notice some differences between using a natural handmade soap from using a commercial bar. First, your hands will still feel slippery. This is normal, so just rinse until you don’t see any more bubbles. When your hands are dry, you should then feel like you have put on hand cream. After about a week you should be used to this feeling. Some people prefer using a bath “pouf” to get even more lather from their handmade soaps. Again, wet the pouf & rub that on the soap. You won’t get the same bubbles that you are used to from commercial soap; as handmade soap contains no commercial foaming agents. With handmade soap you will get smaller bubbles & more lather.
